Below you will find a
brief explanation of what forms of therapy I use and how they can help you
solve your problems and feel better.
Clinical Hypnosis:
Hypnosis is a highly focused state of concentration and awareness and is
an elegant way of facilitating change directly and efficiently. The
hypnotic state allows you to overcome persistent habits, such as smoking
by getting the unconscious mind to work easily with the conscious mind. It
is also very helpful in reducing pain, preparing for surgery and other
medical procedures, and for resolving inner conflicts. Hypnosis can
enhance self-esteem, motivation, and self-confidence.
Cognitive Therapy:
Do you spend time worrying about what might happen? Do you tend to imagine
the worst scenarios? Do you lose sleep over these thoughts? Cognitive
therapy focuses on your self-talk to help relieve your anxiety.
Psychospiritual Techniques:
Radiant Heart Therapy (RHT)
Do you have long-held hurts? Feelings that linger unresolved no matter
what you do? Many times, we carry anger, hurt, shame, and sadness that
interfere with our lives. We can learn that as we recognize and own our
pain we can release it mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. RHT teaches you how to overcome loneliness and form heart connections with
other people.
Past Life and Between Life Therapy
Many of our conflicts and problems may be traced to events that happened
in our childhoods or to later traumatic occurrences. Sometimes it is
helpful to reach beyond the current incarnation to a previous life so that
we can clear and work through our issues. We also can learn from the time
between lifetimes and bring that learning into our present lives as a way
of understanding our current challenges and making meaningful change.
Grief and Loss Therapy:
We grieve over the loss of loved ones to death, loss of employment,
divorce, children leaving home, loss of a beloved pet, loss of good health
and many other things. As we pay attention to these losses, we can give
voice to them. I am able to recognize your pain and help you work it through.
Couples Therapy
Do you feel that your spouse does not understand you? Have you lost the
deep sense of intimacy that your relationship used to have? I help couples
reconnect to what drew them together in the first place. Then, they
discover more productive ways of emotionally supporting each other and
negotiating new ways of interacting that strengthen and enhance their
bond.
EMDR:
Are you troubled by fear and anxiety? Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR) can help you access both the right and left sides of
the brain simultaneously and is very useful for treating trauma and
anxiety.
Psychodramatic techniques:
You can learn to dialogue with your inner conflicts in a powerful and
direct manner that helps you resolve these issues.
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Do you find that you often sabotage yourself by repeating behaviors that
do not serve you well? Understanding the underlying reasons why you feel
conflicted or stuck can often help you change your response to present day
challenges.
Relaxation and Meditation:
Are people telling you to relax and let go? Or to meditate? And, yet, when
you try to do these things, you find that your mind whirls about? In my
office, I will teach you very specifically how to quiet your mind and let
go of tension and stress.
